Originally from upstate New York, she now lives Southeast England as part of actively serving military family in the British Armed Forces, surrounded by stories of courage, loyalty and sacrifice which are threads that find their way into her writing.  A lifelong strategist with a sharp eye for power and its cost, Williams builds worlds where politics cut as deep as any blade and love is as dangerous as war.

When not writing, she can be found trying, but often failing, to wrangle her four boys into some semblance of good order, planning their next adventure or sneaking in just one more chapter over a cup of tea.
